Pottsboro ISD Students Earn Over $228 Million in Scholarships
The Class of 2025 and 2026 at Pottsboro High School has earned $228,377,120 in scholarship offers this year. That figure represents the total dollar amount in scholarship funds secured by juniors and seniors across the district — money going directly toward their futures.
The milestone was celebrated in a special moment at Pottsboro High School, where counselors personally handed out scholarship announcements to seniors and juniors — a fitting recognition of the hard work these students have put in to get here.
For students and families, these scholarships ease the financial burden of higher education and expand what becomes possible after graduation. Each offer is a real, tangible opportunity — a pathway to a degree and a future built on their own terms.
For the district, this achievement reflects the dedication of Pottsboro ISD's counselors and the culture of support they've built around every student. Results like these don't happen without people who show up every day and believe in what their students are capable of.
VU is grateful for the partnership of Pottsboro ISD and the Pottsboro ISD Education Foundation. Without their commitment and collaboration, none of this would be possible. Thank you for pouring into your students and for making this work matter.
